“Breaking Down” is the story of Montrey “Bird” Wood, a young ex-gang member being released from prison and thrown back onto the harsh streets of Washington D.C. As he chases down the ghosts of his checkered past, Montrey must decide if he will go straight or succumb to the temptations of the gang lifestyle.
“Breaking Down” is a docu-drama shot on location in the streets of Washington D.C. and Baltimore, MD that not only tells the story of one young man’s struggle with rehabilitation, but also examines the cyclical nature of the system and the tragedies of gang violence.
Written and Directed by Aaron Steven, the film was shot in High Definition and produced for just under $10,000. More information on the cast and crew can be found throughout the website.
